Slayer recently unveiled dates for the North American leg of their last-ever tour, which begins this May in San Diego, California. In anticipation of the final lap, the Big Four thrashers have launched a new retrospective series looking back on their storied, 37-year career.
The first episode focuses on the serendipitous circumstances that first brought them together in the early Eighties — and the bad jobs they had to suffer through to get there. The history lesson's great and all, but Kerry King's anecdote about working a dead-end job at a mini-golf course is even better: "I was there for a month," he recalls sagely. "Dude said, 'Cut your hair,' and I said, 'Suck a dick,' and that was the end of it."
General admission tickets for Slayer's final North American dates, featuring support from Lamb of God, Anthrax, Behemoth, and Testament, are available now. Find a full itinerary here.
