Next week, Slipknot will finally unveil their new album, THE END, SO FAR, and the Iowa Nine are keeping us on our toes until then. This week, they've been teasing a song on the record called "Acidic," and last night (September 22nd) they shared a minute-long clip of what looks like a bloody-as-fuck video for the song — as well as a hint of its chugging lead riff.
All we know about "Acidic" so far is that it's the eighth song inTHE END, SO FAR's tracklist, and that it has a guitar part that trudges forward with a dirgy, post-metal-y churn. It sounds fucking awesome, and the portion of the accompanying music video focuses on foreboding shots of guitarist Mick Thompson, including one moment where he rips his mask off to reveal a gory face beneath it.
Check out the teaser clip below via Slipknot's Twitter. THE END, SO FAR is out September 30th via Roadrunner Records and you can pre-order it on CD and/or vinyl from our shop.
