See SNOT's Lynn Strait join SYSTEM OF A DOWN for "War?" at Ozzfest '98

Nu-metal stars united

Until his untimely death in a December 1998 car accident, Snot frontman Lynn Strait was one of the most widely beloved figures in the nu-metal scene. This was made super apparent by Strait Up, the band's star-studded 2000 tribute album to him — which features guest vocals from famous friends in Korn, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Incubus, Coal Chamber and more.

System of a Down's Serj Tankian also appears on the record, singing on opener "Starlit Eyes." But that wasn't the first SOAD-Snot crossover: Before his death, Strait was known to jump onstage with System during performances of their self-titled album standout "War?"

Above, check out awesome footage of one such cameo at Ozzfest '98, which featured both SOAD and Snot on its U.S. bill, and below, see Strait join System at the Roxy Theater on the Sunset Strip in L.A. that same year. RIP, Lynn and Dobbs.
