Annie Clark is best known for making eccentric, otherworldly alternative-rock as St. Vincent, but she's also a huge metalhead: Slayer, Iron Maiden and Pantera are just three of the headbanging bands the musician devoured growing up in suburban Texas. Although her music doesn't qualify as heavy metal per se, Clark nonetheless channels her hessian side into her work every now and again; her 2014 song "Bring Me Your Loves," for instance, features a riff lifted from Pantera's "Cowboys From Hell."

Accordingly, when BBC Radio 6 Music asked Clark which riff she wished she had written herself, she didn't hesitate to perform Dimebag's iconic lick on her acoustic, right then and there. As an added bonus, Clark also threw in a bit of Tool's "Forty Six & 2." Check out both clips below, via the PRP.

St. Vincent released her latest album, Masseducation, last year.
