Ahead of the July 29th release of their upcoming album, Spectre, California hardcore outfit Stick to Your Guns have delivered the album's second catchy, sing-along crowd-pleaser titled "Open Up My Head" with a video that explicitly plays out that title in fun but mildly gory detail.

Filmed in a grainy, analog aesthetic reminiscent of the late 20th century, the clip opens with singer Jesse Barnett idling on a couch while flashes of retro news reports play out — the over-30 crowd will surely perk up at that Peter Jennings cameo. Barnett picks up the pace flipping through channels and scrolling his phone, and the imagery quickly becomes a hodgepodge of Christian evangelical messaging, a satirical home Gun Shopping Network infomercial, and collages of violence and consumerism that echo the modern news cycle.

After falling deep into a state of conspiracy-driven madness, Barnett's character is transported into an alternate reality in which his living room becomes an operating room and the rest of the band are brain surgeons who literally open his head (complete with campy, over-the-top blood splatter) and fill it with an assortment of guns, bullets, and other paraphernalia seen in the earlier TV spots.

"Open Up My Head" is the fourth single from Spectre, including "Hush" from earlier this month.
