Brooklyn-based brass collective Brass Against specialize in horn-centric renditions of songs from across the musical spectrum (they once delivered a fiery mash-up of Beyoncé's "Freedom" and Rage Against the Machine's song of the same title). In July, they blew minds with their take on Tool's "The Pot," which saw powerhouse singer Sophia Urista stealing the show. Now, Urista and Brass Against are back with another heavy new offering, this time a surging, soulful cover of Pantera's "Walk." Phil Anselmo has been brushing off cuts from his previous band recently with his solo group the Illegals (see their barreling performance of "A New Level" at Brooklyn's St. Vitus), but even he should take note of Urista's incendiary vocals and take-no-shit swagger when delivering immortal lines like "Walk on home, boy!" Respect? You better believe it.
