See Superjoint Ritual's Unhinged Full Set at CBGB in 2004

40-minute performance from classic 'Live at CBGB' DVD

Score Superjoint Ritual's first two albums on limited-edition colored vinyl and deluxe CD at Revolver's shop.

To say that Superjoint Ritual shows were unpredictable affairs would be an extreme understatement. In truth, the sludgy hardcore supergroup was often a shambolic mess onstage, due in no small part to singer Philip Anselmo's struggles with drug addiction. But when they were on, they were a force to be reckoned with. The band's 2004 DVD, Live at CBGB: Changing the Face of Music Through Uncompromising Anti-Image, found Superjoint in particularly fine form, playing an intimate show at the infamous NYC rock club and driving moshers up the sweat-slathered walls with their ripping, mostly-sub-three-minute micro-rants.

At the time, Superjoint were comprised of Anselmo (Pantera, Down), guitarists Jimmy Bower (Eyehategod, Down) and Kevin Bond, bassist Hank Williams III and drummer Joe Fazzio, and they were fresh off the release of their second full-length, 2003's A Lethal Dose of American Hatred. Their raucous 40-minute set encompassed cuts off both that album and its predecessor, 2002's Use Once and Destroy. Watch the full performance above.
