See Testament Play First Show With Dave Lombardo

Former Slayer drummer re-joined the band earlier this year

Last month, Testament unveiled that former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo would be re-joining the band as their percussionist. Lombardo previously played in Testament for a brief stint in the late Nineties, but with the amicable departure of Gene Hoglan earlier this year, the Bay Area thrash vets had big sticks to fill, and Lombardo was thrilled to sign up for the job. Over the weekend in San Luis Obispo, Testament played their first show with Lombardo back in the lineup, and they sound and look utterly monstrous based on high quality fan-shot footage.

Lombardo plays with an unmistakable power that comes through full force in the portion of April 9th's show that's been uploaded to YouTube.
