See Tom Morello, Jack Black Join Kid Drummer Nandi Bushell in Video for New Song

"The Children Will Rise Up" was co-written with Morello's son Roman and its visual features Greta Thunberg

If you've been on the rock music side of the internet within the last year, then you've probably seen a video from 11-year-old musical prodigy Nandi Bushell, who's become a YouTube sensation for her dazzling covers of songs by Nirvana, Slipknot, Linkin Park and many other rock and metal gods.

Earlier this year, she started dipping her toes into writing her own music, and now she's teamed up with Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello and his 10-year-old son, Roman, for a spirited new banger called "The Children Will Rise Up." As if that tag-team wasn't special enough, its video also features apperances from beloved actor Jack Black and young climate change activist Greta Thunberg

The track is a call-to-action for climate change justice that targets politicians who "are killing all the trees, now we all can't breathe/As the temperature's a rising, nothing is surviving." Roman takes guitar duties while Nandi holds down the drums and lead vocals, and the two of them make for a pretty darn compelling garage-punk duo — especially for a couple of elementary school-age kids.

Its wonky video uses green screens to add all sorts of visual effects behind Roman and Bushell as they play, and the aforementioned guests even beam in for special cameos. Rise up as you watch and listen above via YouTube.
