See Tool's Justin Chancellor and Fever 333's Aric Improta Play Trippy New Song "EXU"

Alt-metal bassist teams up with virtuosic drummer for psychedelic jam in hall of mirrors

Tool bassist Justin Chancellor and Aric Improta — the virtuosic drummer of Fever 333 and Night Verses — may come from different spheres of the metal universe, but damn, do they ever have chemistry. The two shredders have linked up on a new collaborative song called "EXU," which they've dropped today along with a super cool video of them playing it in a kaleidoscopic hall of mirrors.

The psychedelic instrumental jam — which they co-wrote and co-performed — features insane drumming and percussion from Improta and totally out-there basslines from Chancellor, who oscillates between prickly high tones and dirgy fuzz.

Fans of Tool's jammiest and spaciest moments will definitely appreciate, and if you like anything Improta has ever done in his main bands, this will tickle your fancy. Watch the two of them bang through the track in a trippy-as-hell setting above via YouTube.
