See Unboxing Video for Tool's New "Expanded Book Edition" of 'Fear Inoculum'

Lenticular cards, never-before-seen artwork and more

In November, following the smash success of the band's long-awaited fifth full-length Fear Inoculum and the near-immediate sell-out of its tricked-out physical edition, Tool announced an entirely new incarnation of the album, an "Expanded Book Edition." That finally became available today, December 13th, and now you can get an inside look at it via an official unboxing video. The collector's package includes five 3D lenticular cards featuring exclusive graphics, a 56-page booklet with additional art and an access card to download the groundbreaking immersive visual experience, "Recusant Ad Infinitum," which plays back on the mini video screen built into the original physical edition of Fear Inoculum. If you didn't already pre-order the Expanded Book Edition, you can pick up your copy now.

Since its release in August, Fear Inoculum has been an undisputed smash success. The 80-plus-minute record — the psychedelic prog band's first offering in 13 years — debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and, reportedly, had the biggest week for any rock LP in over 12 months. It also made headlines for bumping Taylor Swift's Lover from the top spot in that record's second week.
