Boston hardcore band embrace creepy alt-metal side on latest single

We have colored vinyl copies of's new album This World is Going to Ruin You available in our shop — order while they last!

Next month, Boston hardcore bruisers will unveil their long-awaited sophomore album, This World is Going to Ruin You. So far, we've heard its stupidly heavy lead single "The Killing Womb" and its slightly more melodic second offering with Thursday's Geoff Rickly, "Fear in Non Fiction." Now, the band are back wth a third taste called "Wavery," which is a haunting, dirgy midway between the band's pounding metalcore and their Deftones-y alt-metal.

There are still a few mosh parts, but the majority of the song is built around creepy clean vocals and spacier instrumentation that're more atmospheric than physically impaling. The accompanying video is filled with stylized red-and-orange shots that look like fever dream sequences from a Rob Zombie movie. Watch and listen above via YouTube.

This World is Going to Ruin You is due out March 4th via Closed Casket Activities/Nuclear Blast and you can pre-order the vinyl on "clear with black smoke and green splatter" wax here
