See Volbeat's Ripping "Evelyn" Performance With Napalm Death's Barney Greenway

A standout clip from Danish band's just-released live Blu-Ray

Earlier this week, Danish rockabilly-metal lifers Volbeat released a live Blu-Ray/DVD/album called Let's Boogie! Live From the Telia Parken, which documents a show in Copenhagen last summer. Today the band posted a clip from the live offering, where they rip through Beyond Hell/Above Heaven cut "Evelyn," with the help of some death-metal growls from Napalm Death's Mark "Barney" Greenway, who also appears on the studio track.

It is always life-affirming to watch a band destroy a set in their hometown. Volbeat have earned a ton of respect overseas, including from superfan James Hetfield of Metallica, but when you watch the clip above, you'll see exactly how much the group is adored by its countrymen. We particularly love the swagger of guitarist-vocalist Michael Poulsen, who appears to be playing in front of a boxing ring.
