Oakland band features member of Necrot

Vorlust are a death-metal band who not only appreciate, but live, the genre's most eccentric qualities. Their 2022 debut LP is called Lick the Flesh, and its cover art depicts a nude woman's body rising out of an ocean of blood while two zombie-like hands claw her legs and a ferocious King Cobra bears its fangs in front of her crotch. It's a beautifully absurd — and amazingly metal — shot, and Vorlust carry their love for outlandish visuals over to their music video for "13th Circle," premiering above.

Directed, produced and edited by Marcelle Marais, the visual sees the self-proclaimed "beast metal" musicians donning freakish makeup, running around the woods like little goblin maniacs and striking menacing poses in the fires of hell. It's fucking awesome, and the song is a ripping slice of death-metal with some evil, blackened undertones.
