See Word Alive's "Telle" Guest in Seventh Day Slumber's "Death by Admiration" Video

Melodic metalcore band channel Memphis May Fire and Wage War

Back in January, Texas heavy metallers Seventh Day Slumber released a reinvigorated new album called Death By Admiration. Produced by Memphis May Fire's Kellen McGregor, the record channels that sort of melodic alt-metalcore in a way that's both catchy and hard-hitting, and its title-track is a particular standout. The Word Alive vocalist Tyler "Telle" Smith co-wrote and guested on the song, and he makes an exciting cameo in its emotional new music video, which we're stoked to be premiering today (March 4th). "'Death by Admiration' is about a difficult time in my life," frontman Joseph Rojas said of the album's theme, which is specifically expounded on throughout its title-track. "A lot of people look up to me, and a lot of people come to me for help. But I'd poured out so much, and I wasn't getting poured back into. I ended up becoming an alcoholic. I was so afraid to let anyone down, because of their admiration for me. It was killing me not to share."

Death By Admiration is out now via Rockfest Records and you can buy it here.
