See World Be Free's Raw, DIY Video for New Song "Down & Beyond"

Hardcore supergroup faces "tough days" with resilient spirit

If you're not in the know already, World Be Free are an L.A. hardcore supergroup comprised of vocalist Scott Vogel (Terror, Buried Alive), guitarist Joe Garlipp (Envy), guitarist Andrew Kline (Strife, Berthold City), bassist Alex Barreto (Chain of Strength, Excel) and drummer Sammy Siegler (Judge, CIV, Rival Schools). The band released a debut album, The Anti-Circle, back in 2016 (with Gorilla Biscuits' Arthur Smilios on bass), and now they're back with its follow-up, the five-song EP One Time for Unity, which includes standout cut "Down & Beyond." Today (October 26th), World Be Free have teamed with Revolver to premiere the song along with its raw, stripped-down music video — watch and listen above.

"I believe I was the person really pushing for this song to make the cut," Vogel tells us. "I really liked the energy and overall vibe of this one. It took some time to get this thing to a place we all loved, but in the end it may be my favorite song on this record."

Siegler adds, "I didn't write these lyrics, but it must suck to be beyond down?! It reminds me of the film Taxi Driver or Falling Down with Michael Douglas. These are some tough days with everything going on in the world: 'Now I can't feel a thing, life goes on/My mind is spiraling, down & beyond."

One Time for Unity is available for pre-order now via Revelation Records.
