See Zakk Wylde Shred Onstage With Down at Welcome to Rockville Fest

Black Label Society ringleader joined NOLA supergroup for their final song

Over the weekend, the NOLA supergroup Down — a.k.a. Pantera's Philip Anselmo, Corrosion of Conformity's Pepper Keenan, Crowbar's Kirk Windstein and Eyehategod's Jimmy Bower, plus bassist Pat Bruders — played three shows that marked their first of 2022. During Friday night's mini-tour kickoff at Welcome to Rockville festival in Florida, the band ripped through a seven-song set that featured a very special guest during their last song.

As the rhythm section held down the endlessly gratifying groove of "Bury Me in Smoke," Black Label Society ringleader Zakk Wylde trotted out onstage with his axe and shredded all over the instrumentation while the crowd cheered wildly.
