Between his main band Rammstein and his eponymous side project, Lindemann, with Hypocrisy's Peter Tägtgren, gravel-throated German rock star Till Lindemann has been part of the some of the most extreme, provocative and controversial music videos of all time. He may have taken the cake with his new one, however. The just-released clip for the Lindemann single "Knebel," which translates to "gag" in English, was only broadcasted once in its uncensored, original version, on the site Knebel.tv, due to the visual's explicit content, after which it was replaced with a sanitized edit punctuated with large, overlaid black boxes proclaiming "CENSORED." Directed by Zoran Bihac and filmed in Russia and Germany, the bizarre and extremely bloody video is shocking and unnerving even by Till's high standards. You can watch the censored version above, and, should you dare, the uncensored original can be found (at press time, at least) on Reddit. If you have a special aversion to menstruation and eels, we recommend you stay away. Lindemann's forthcoming album F & M, which features the song "Knebel," is due on November 22nd.
