Sex, Drugs, Cults: Watch Bring Me the Horizon's Crazy New "Mantra" Video

U.K. rock band unleashes psychedelic visual for first single off upcoming album 'amo'

Earlier this week, Bring Me the Horizon revealed the first single off their upcoming album amo, "Mantra." All the lead-up surrounding the song has been extremely cult-influenced, including the band hanging posters that ask, "Do you want to start a cult?" around the U.K. Not to mention, the song itself features lyrics from Oli Sykes that run similar to a lot of persuasive visualization "imagine you're stood at a beach, feel the water tapping on your feet."

It's very clear the band is 100 percent all-in on the cultish imagery, as their new video for "Mantra" goes. The video shows Sykes both falling victim to a cult, and at the head of one. The visuals in the video clash repeatedly, elements of video games, late-night infomercials, and church sermons all run on a closed loop next to each other for a vicious effect. It ends with Sykes ingesting a bunch of pills, dying, and all of his followers engaging in an electric-death-orgy at the end, because how else could it?

amo comes out January 11.
