Like a cross between Deathspell Omega and Taxi Driver, shrouded abstract black-metal trio Imperial Triumphant are proud to reveal their new video for "Swarming Opulence." The lush video, courtesy of Brendan McGowan, shows the seedy underbelly of NYC and just what money can buy — whether that is silence, sex, drugs or murder.
"The concept behind the song 'Swarming Opulence' is that gold is the god of New York City," says vocalist/guitarist Zachary Ilya Ezrin. "Commerce is the foundation of our culture. The one idol that everyone worships here is money; the drive that success is measured in power."
