Sharon Osbourne Details Cause of Ozzy's Hand Infection: "It's Unbelievable"

Singer's manager/wife also revealed more surgeries are planned, addressed tour cancellation, more in 'The Talk' video segment

Addressing the cancellation of his remaining tour dates due to an until-now mysterious hand infection, Ozzy Osbourne's manager and wife Sharon explained on CBS daytime show The Talk that his ailment was caused by a commonplace infection turned very nasty. Apparently the infection was caused by something as simple as a torn cuticle, explaining ""[He] had a little cut on his thumb. You know when you pull the side of your nail and he just left it. And then he hit it on a door. It started to get bigger and bigger, and then his middle finger, the same thing happened... Saturday morning we took him into the emergency room and what had happened from a tiny thing here on the side of his nail, it had turned into two different infections in his hand."

Ozzy went back into the hospital for more procedures, and is hoping to make a full recovery shortly. The whole incident took the couple by surprise, as Sharon reveals in the segment, "It's been from something you think is absolutely nothing. It's unbelievable."

Ozzy's Instagram has kept fans updated throughout the ordeal, addressing both how he will play the shows in 2019 and how "fucking bummed" he is to be in this situation. The singer tells fans, "The tour had been going great and we were really looking forward to these last few gigs. We're hoping everyone will be patient and we'll look forward to seeing them at the shows next year." Ticket holders are instructed to hold onto those stubs, as they'll be honored at the future dates or if preferred, fans can receive refunds at the point of sale.
