Yesterday (June 13th), Ozzy Osbourne went under the knife for a surgery that his wife Sharon said is "really going to determine the rest of his life." The 73-year-old metal icon has suffered health problems for years, and mentioned a few weeks back that he's awaiting neck surgery that would hopefully have a profound effect on his day-to-day life. "I can't walk properly these days," he said in May of this year. "I have physical therapy every morning. I am somewhat better, but nowhere near as much as I want to be to go back on the road."

While Sharon didn't confirm, this was presumably the surgery that Ozzy went under for at some point yesterday, which his wife recently described as a "major operation." Naturally, the whole metal world was rooting for Ozzy and hoping to hear good news following the procedure, and now Sharon has offered a positive update that makes it sound like Ozzy is doing well and that the operation was a success.

"Our family would like to express so much gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love and support leading up to Ozzy's surgery!," the social media post wrote. "Ozzy is doing well and on the road to recovery. Your love means the world to him."

That's what we like to hear. Stay strong, Ozzy.
