Slipknot have announced that they will perform at the 2019 Iowa State Fair on August 10th. Percussionist and co-founder M. Shawn "Clown" Crahan spoke to the Des Moines Register to share his excitement at the prospect of the close-to-home appearance, which he described as "fabulous." Below, you can watch his video interview, in which the musician says, "It makes no sense why we haven't played here," continuing, "I'm gonna drive from my house directly to the stage just like I do when I come to the fair ... This place is my life."

Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor recently revealed that the band plans to have its next album out by summer 2019, seemingly just in time for the State Fair performance. While the event is still nearly 300 days away (as you can see on this countdown clock), tickets will go on sale November 2nd for the fair and show.
