Ahead of their next album, due out on August 9th, Slipknot have shared a mysterious clip simply captioned "vocals | 8.9.19" featuring a very slow, droning version of singer Corey Taylor's voice amid a cacophony of haunting noises, all set to a clip that shows heavily filtered images of the front man in the studio.
The murky tones and snippets of industrial noise give a cold, hard edge to the clip's overall feel — even the studio shots of Taylor are bathed in ominous red light as the scene rotates, leaving the viewer on edge with intrigue.
Slipknot's last single off the as-yet-untitled record, titled "All Out Life," was released on October 31, 2018. Up next for the band is a run of summer tour dates alongside Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth for the Knotfest Roadshow. Tickets for that tour are available for sale at this location.
