As if he's not busy enough between Slipknot (who just announced the first-ever Knotfest at Sea cruise) and Stone Sour (who have their first-ever official live album, Hello, You Bastards: Live in Reno, about to drop), frontman Corey Taylor is eyeing "a potential solo run," including his first-ever solo album. He talked about his plans recently with Terry "Beez" Bezer of WhatCulture Music.

"It's been cool to kind of start building the momentum for a potential solo run," Taylor said, as reported by Blabbermouth. The singer has been playing a slew of solo shows between his obligations to his two bands, setting the stage for a full-fledged album under his own name. "It's definitely going to be rock-based, but it's going to be rock meets so many different things. There will be harder-edged stuff, but there also will be big, expansive, huge, world-changing guitar songs that you're going to want to sing along to. That's just who I am, and I'm not going to fight who I am. I've got 26 songs written, and I'm not done yet."
