Corey Taylor is confident that he could write an entire new album in a single day.

Speaking with Metal Hammer about his upcoming solo album, CMF2, the Slipknot frontman emphasized how comfortable he's become playing and writing songs on an acoustic guitar. So comfortable, in fact, that writing an entire full-length record's worth of acoustic songs wouldn't even require breaking a sweat.

"Pretty much everything I write starts out acoustically," Taylor said. "Even the really heavy, riffy stuff. I know if I can make i sound good on an acoustic, it'll sound killer on an electric guitar."

"I could write an entire album in a day," he continued. "I just find it so stupidly inspiring. It's probably why I haven't written an entirely acoustic album yet; I could do it so quickly it's not a challenge."

Taylor's latest album, the non-acoustic solo record CMF2, is due out September 15th and you can pre-order it on vinyl and CD over at Revolver's shop.
