SLIPKNOT's COREY TAYLOR is over MACHINE GUN KELLY beef: "He and I are very similar in certain ways"

Corey Taylor is ready to move on from his beef with Machine Gun Kelly. Back in 2021, the rapper-turned-pop-punker started a public war of words with the Slipknot frontman when Kelly randomly called out the 'Knot onstage at Louder Than Life, saying, "I'm happy I'm not 50 wearing a fucking weird mask."

From there, things spiraled when MGK claimed Taylor stiffed him on a guest verse on his album, to which Taylor refuted in a heated exchange of social media posts. Ultimately, Taylor told Kelly to "suck every inch of my dick," and then several months later in the summer of 2022, MGK expressed remorse for the feud, admitting that "we all acted ridiculous."

Well, Taylor now feels similarly. While he didn't formally apologize for what he said to the Tickets to My Downfall singer, in a new interview with Allison Hagendorf, Taylor said that he and Kelly "are very similar in certain ways," and though he doesn't think they'll ever be friends, he wants their relationship to be civil going foward.

"Sometimes people are just going to butt heads," Taylor said when he was asked if he knew Kelly had regretted the beef. "He and I are very similar in certain ways. Which, shock and awe. Big-mouth singers. We are big-mouth singers.

"I appreciate that. I guess sometimes, I know from my past mistakes that sometimes the words get out and I wish I could grab 'em. It is what it is.

"It's one of those things where he and I will probably never be friends, but I'm sure we can both respect each other for what we do and what we've done and just move on. It's stuff like that... it never needs to keep going. Once you've said your piece, that's it.

"And a lot of times [it's] the fans that carry it on. Especially in this day and age with social media and everything. It happened, it was a moment and I made my peace with it. I'm assuming he did as well and there's that."
