Members of Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Audioslave will honor their late bandmate Chris Cornell, joined by Metallica, Foo Fighters and Ryan Adams at a January 16th, 2019 tribute show set for the Los Angeles Forum. Cornell died in May 2017.

The show announcement came through the official Chris Cornell Facebook page and highlighted the charitable nature of the concert, proceeds from which will benefit the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation, a cause the iconic rock musician supported. The organization funds research of the devastating disease, which causes "deformities of the hands and feet, chronic anemia, malnutrition and growth retardation."

Cornell's wife Vicky said in a press release, "We are honored to have all these amazing artists and friends come together to pay tribute to and show their love and appreciation for Chris, his music and the mark he's left on the world.  We look forward to sharing this night with all the fans."

The event will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. Tickets go on sale for the general public Friday, November 16th at 10 a.m. PST, with each online purchase coming with a copy of the singer's forthcoming self-titled career-retrospective LP, due this Friday (November 16th). Also available that day will be a massive box set edition of album, including 11 previously unreleased tracks.
