As many Tenacious D OGs will know, the band have been covering The Beatles' "You Never Give Me Your Money" and "The End" at their shows for over two decades. A medley of the two Abbey Road songs has been a staple of Jack Black and Kyle Gass' sets for years, and now they've finally given it a proper studio recording.
Keeping consistent with the arrangement they've mastered in the live setting, the band focus on dazzling harmonies and beatific strums for "You Never Give Me Your Money" and then get weird and wonky with "The End." Black pulls out his beloved scatting technique and even adds in a few "shits" and "fucks" for good measure.
In its batshit music video, the band make all sort of green-screen magic happen while they sing and dance in a variety of outfits — including some very skimpy swim trunks. Check it out above via YouTube.
