Tool drummer Danny Carey was arrested last night (December 12th) and booked for misdemeanor assault. According to TMZ, the world-renowned rock icon was arrested in the Kansas City airport terminal after police arrived on the scene in response to an alleged disturbance between two men.

Earlier that day, the 60-year-old had been playing with a band of musicians at the NCAA basketball game between Kansas (his home state) and Mizzou. However, by the end of the night, he was having his mug shot taken at a local jail, which you can see below via Twitter. TMZ also reported that no charges have been filed yet, but his police report is currently in the hands of prosecutors for review.

Neither Carey nor any of this bandmates have publicly commented on the matter yet, so that's all we know so far. Below, watch footage of Carey covering Jimi Hendrix's "Fire" with the NCAA band, just a few hours before his run-in with the law.
