Prog-metal maestros TOOL have announced their first-ever statue offering. Inspired by visionary artist Alex Grey's "Skull Fetus" artwork for the band's fourth studio album, 2006's 10,000 Days, the new collectible will be available for order starting next Friday, December 16th at 9 a.m. PDT/12 p.m. EDT. In their announcement, TOOL described the statue as a "maquette," which is defined, in art terms, as "a usually small preliminary model" often used to visualize what will be a larger or more intricate final piece.
