Anticipation for Tool's new album — their first in 13 years and fifth overall — is reaching a fever pitch, and yet, any real information has been hard to come by. The notorious prog-metal pranksters have played two new songs, "Descending" and "Invincible," live, announced a release date (August 30th, a month away and counting) and unveiled a golden new band logo, and that's about it. Now, you can add one more little tidbit to that list of shit we know: the title of the new album, Fear Inoculum. For those who don't have a dictionary handy, the word "inoculum" refers to "a substance used for inoculation," so the title can be interpreted as describing something that cures or prevents fear.

The band also revealed that its back catalog — specially, the records Opiate, Undertow, Ænima, Lateralus and 10,000 Days — will "go up on all digital and streaming formats" this Friday, August 2nd. Tool have been one of the last major hold-outs from the digital music world.
