With the long, arduous wait for a new Tool album seemingly about to come to a close, the band have revealed the opening act set to perform on their upcoming tour: Los Angeles, California–based heavy riff-worshippers All Souls, a.k.a. Totoimoshi's Meg Castellanos and Tony Aguilar, Desert Sessions' Tony Tornay and Black Elk's Erik Trammel.

All Souls came together in 2015 — though the band members had kicked around the idea of playing together for over 20 years. "Meg and I had always wanted to play with Tony as did Erik," explains Aguilar of the group's origins. "It finally fell into place." A whirlwind few years have followed, with the band touring in support of bands including Red Fang, the Sword, Kvelertak and Torche, and, in 2018, collaborating with Tool drummer Danny Carey on their track "Sadist/Servant" off their eponymous record. It all will culminate with this coming tour, their biggest to date.

"When one of the most epic bands in the history of music asks you to tour with them what do you say?" Castellanos enthuses of the dream-come-true opportunity. "We couldn't be more thrilled. We are incredibly honored to be chosen… our heads are still spinning!"
