It's no secret that TOOL, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer vocalist Maynard James Keenan is a life-long KISS fan. In the Nineties, he even fronted a one-off KISS tribute supergroup called Shandi's Addiction that also featured Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello and Brad Wilk, and Faith No More's Billy Gould.

In a recent Instagram post, Keenan sang the praises of KISS, describing them as his "coping mechanism" as a kid growing up in Ohio in the Seventies, and he shared his recently rediscovered childhood poster collection, including what he called "the Holy Grail of KISS posters."

All this served as the backdrop for the real kicker of Keenan's post: the full-circle moment he just experienced, playing with two of his bands, TOOL and Puscifer, at the same festival as KISS (this past weekend's Sonic Temple) in — of all places — Ohio.
