Vampyros Lesbos: Watch Huntress' Fun, Gory New "Sorrow" Video

A blood-soaked homage to the Italian horror of Mario Bava and Lucio Fulci

Huntress — the Cali-based old-school heavy-metal band led by operatic badass Jill Janus — have released a cinematic new video for the song "Sorrow," taken from the group latest album, Static. The clip was written and directed by Phil Mucci (Korn, High on Fire, Pig Destroyer), and produced by Mucci and Ian Mackay of Diabolik.

Set in a spooky castle and full of scantily-clad bloodsuckers, the video is gorgeous and campy gorefest, evoking the striking pallette and sordid vibe of the Italian Giallo horror films of Mario Bava and Lucio Fulci, as well as taking obvious influence from such erotic vampire films as Vampyros Lesbos. Needlessly to say, it's lots of fun and the perfect retro visual companion to Huntress' epic, Eighties-worshipping throwback metal. Watch above.
