Swedish rockers weave a trippy tale in new visual for "The King Welcomes You to Avatar Country"

All's fair in love, war ... and ass branding in Avatar's wild new music video. Directed by Johan Carlén, the Swedes' new visual for "The King Welcomes You to Avatar Country" whisks viewers away to Avatar Country for yet another absurdist encounter with "The King" and his court, who weave a trippy, heavy-metal romance saga. Will our hero get with the Pantera-loving object of his affections, or will a loathsome EDM bro catch him with his pants down? Considering how the video's plot makes even the most obtuse "Westworld" episode look simple, your guess is as good as ours.

"The King Welcomes You to Avatar Country" is taken from Avatar's latest album Avatar Country, out now. Prior to this clip, the band shared similarly extravagant visuals for "The King Wants You" and "A Statue of the King."

Avatar are set to hit the road for a stretch of European tour dates this summer; find them below.
