Swedish metal outfit Avatar have unveiled the latest single off their upcoming album Avatar Country, due out January 12th via Entertainment One/Century Media. Like the band's previously shared "A Statue of the King," the searing "The King Wants You" arrives alongside an ostentatious, Johan Carlén–directed visual, set in Avatar County itself.
Under siege by an army of nefarious wizards, guitarist Jonas Jarlsby (otherwise known as "His Royal Higness the King") and bandmates take up arms — er, instruments — climb inside a giant tank, and fight their opponents with some rock & roll black magic. They're aided by a couple who've found themselves stuck in the fray — but right as they stand on the precipice of victory, the firefight takes a turn for the worse, leaving us with one hell of a cliffhanger. And you thought Game of Thrones was intense!
