Watch Cane Hill's Psychedelic Video for New Song "Power of the High"

Vocalist Elijah Witt: "Join us, live with us, die with us. Welcome to The Krewe"

After pounding the pavement in support of the Revolver-approved Too Far Gone album and delivering a powerhouse performance on WWE NXT TakeOver, Cane Hill teased on socials that a heavier direction was coming after 2019's dirgy, Alice in Chains-worshipping Kill the Sun EP. Turns out they weren't kidding. Cane Hill's new cut "Power of the High" — which originally premiered on BBC Radio 1's Rock Show with Daniel P. Carter — finds vocalist Elijah Witt sounding as dynamic and vicious as ever atop guitarist James Barnett's chunky, lightning-fast riffs. Today (October 29th), the group has teamed with Revolver to unveil the single's unhinged music video — watch and listen above.

Witt describes the song as "inconsolable fury and anguish." "[It's] an accumulation of the woes, trials and tribulations of our recent years," he continues. "From mind-altering aficionados to unwilling servants drowning in the unforgiving tides of the music industry, we've found ourselves passionately emboldened by the rage fostered whilst stuck between our realities. A declaration of third-eye-rebellion, 'POTH' is a calling to everyone we know and may meet to join us in breaking the mold that's been given to you by a higher power and realize the divine being you always have been."

The song's creepy, trippy clip not only harkens to Cane Hill's older music videos that usually included a horror element, but also pays ode to their NOLA roots. According to the singer, the band joined forces with a local production company, Dreamseeker, to "create a psychedelic twist on Louisiana folklore such as The Rougarou."

As far as what the future holds music-wise, Witt tells us this: "'Power of the High' kicks off 'Krewe de la Morte,' which is Vol. 1 of a larger vision. Join us, live with us, die with us. Welcome to The Krewe."
