Deftones, AFI frontmen take trip down memory lane

Deftones' Chino Moreno and AFI's Davey Havok recently interviewed each other for NME's video series "Band vs Band." The two frontmen — whose respective groups played a handful of U.K. shows earlier this year — spent much of their conversation on a trip down memory lane. They reminisced about their initial meeting, which took place in an elevator ("I was fanning on him, for sure," Havok joked), their shared experiences buying music at drugstores when they were kids (Moreno eyed AC/DC LPs at K-Mart, while Havok scored Devo tapes at CVS) and the golden age of music videos in the Eighties (remember "Friday Night Videos?"). Elsewhere, Moreno and Havok gushed over the Cure, Depeche Mode and each other.

Hankering for more Deftones action? Revolver recently joined the band at San Diego's Belching Beaver Brewery, with whom they recently teamed for a pair of craft brews, "Phantom Bride" and "Swerve City," to make beer, talk beer and, of course, drink beer. Watch below.
