Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman paid tribute to rocker on Boston radio show

Fans and fellow musicians continue to honor Tom Petty, who passed away last night (October 2nd) after suffering full cardiac arrest. Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor is but one of the artists who have saluted the rock icon. He did so today by sharing via social media an acoustic cover of Tom Petty's "You Got Lucky" that he had recorded live at the WAAF 107.3 studios this summer. The song was the lead single off Petty's 1982 album, Long After Dark, and was unusual for the singer-songwriter as it featured synths, rather than guitars, providing its backbone.

Earlier today, doomgaze outfit Cloakroom paid tribute to Petty with a grungy cover of "You Don't Know How It Feels," the lead single off his 1994 album Wildflowers. You can listen to that below.
