Watch Crazy, Hard-Partying First Trailer for New Mötley Crüe Movie 'The Dirt'

"The fans, they're dying for some anarchy, so let's give it to them."

A trailer for the long-awaited upcoming Mötley Crüe biopic The Dirt has finally arrived, and it looks every bit as salacious as the best-selling biography it's based on: The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band. Recounting the story of the infamous Eighties superstars, the film follows the band's precocious sense of ego as it takes them from nobodies to world-renowned rock stars who garnered as much attention for their bad behavior as their music.

"If we wanna knock people on their asses, then we've gotta give them a show," says Douglas Booth as Nikki Sixx in a roundtable meeting of the group. "The fans, they're dying for some anarchy, so let's give it to them." A montage of the band's huge stage production, even in those early club shows, follows their ascent to the spotlight culminating in a record deal offer by Tom Zutaut as played by Pete Davidson.

With that fame came intense scrutiny for the overdoses, car accidents, hotel smashing antics, and more. "Their music made them famous," scrolls across the screen mid-trailer, finishing "Their lives made them infamous." Smashed bottles and guitars are interspersed with shots of the members' real life events such as weddings, sick children, and breakups before wrapping up with the guys dropping a television set out of a window onto a car below and shouting "Motley Crüe, here all week!"

Directed by Jeff Tramaine of Jackass and Bad Grandpa infamy, The Dirt premieres on Netflix on March 22nd. The Crüe previously announced they've recorded four new songs for the film's soundtrack following their retirement from tour in 2015. Rapper Machine Gun Kelly will continue cutting his acting chops in his role as drummer Tommy Lee, an opportunity he discussed on Twitter in January 2018 with the message, "And it's finally announced. Excuse me for being crass but.... HOLY FUCKING SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!!!!"
