Deftones' Chino Moreno has long cited R&B siren Sade as one of his favorite artists, so it made sense that his band would record a reverent rendition of her sultry hit "No Ordinary Love," as they did for their 2005 covers albums.
Far singer Jonah Matranga guested on the studio take, and four years later, he would join the Deftones onstage to bring the cover to life, at a November 20th, 2009, benefit concert in Hollywood for the band's bassist Chi Cheng, who was then in a coma following a tragic car accident. Matranga and Moreno dueted on the slinky cut, with the latter delivering particularly impassioned vocals. Check out fan-shot footage of the performance above and below.
