Watch Dimebag Darrell Goof Around in Sleep-Apnea Mask in New 'Dimevision Vol. 2' Video

Candid clip featured in forthcoming CD/DVD set arriving next month

Next month, Metal Blade will release Dimevision Vol. 2: Roll With It or Get Rolled Over, a CD/DVD set compiling raw footage and unreleased music from the archives of late Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell. Today, his longtime girlfriend Rita Haney – who assembled the box set from hours upon hours of video with Pantera videographer Daryl Amberger and filmmaker Rob Fenn – has revealed one of the 43 segments included on the DVD. It finds a disgruntled Darrell joking around with Haney while getting fitted for a CPAP machine (a medical device that treats sleep apnea) following a long night of partying.

"I had just rolled outta bed and the doctor fitting him [Darrell] was about an hour early for his appointment," Haney says of the early-morning madness. "Dime and ST [his friend] were still up partying – so of course things never go as planned in Dime's world!

"One thing people need to realize is that when you're getting fitted for one of these machines, it's imperative that you not speak during the process, so they can ramp the proper amount of air through those things, so you have to keep your mouth closed — but as you can see from this segment in full, that's a damn near impossible feat for him at the moment. It's also impossible to be angry at Dime when he made you laugh all the time!"

In addition to the aforementioned DVD, Dimevision Vol. 2, which hits shelves November 27th, includes CD containing five previously unreleased demos. Pre-order the collection here, and check out a trailer for the upcoming package here.
