Watch Evanescence's Orchestral "Hi-Lo" Performance From Upcoming 'Synthesis Live'

Amy Lee gets behind the piano for latest cut off forthcoming DVD

Evanescence have released another preview from Synthesis Live, the group's forthcoming live album and DVD, featuring performance footage captured in fall 2017. Set for release on October 12th via Eagle Rock Entertainment, the record/DVD includes Amy Lee and Co.'s symphonic rendition of "My Immortal," which they premiered last month, as well as a stirring run-through of "Hi-Lo," one of the two new songs on Evanescence's 2017 album Synthesis, which mostly featured orchestral reworkings of the band's past hits. Violinist Lindsey Stirling — who joined Evanescence recently on tour, and onstage for a surprising cover of Ozzy's "No More Tears" — appeared on the original studio version of the cut, but not here. Instead, Lee fully claims center stage for herself, delivering an operatic performance before sitting down at a piano for the song's final two minutes and, with an army of backing musicians, bringing "Hi-Lo" to a bombastic close.
