Watch Foo Fighters Cover Metallica's "Enter Sandman" With 10-Year-Old Fan

Dave Grohl lent the young musician his own guitar for the impromptu performance

Prolifically charming Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl surprised fans in Kansas City on Friday by inviting 10 year-old fan Collier Cash Rule onstage to jam out on a track with the group. When asked by Grohl, "What do you know?" the youngster answered, "I know a lot of Metallica songs." As Rule strummed the first few strains of the song, an excited Grohl threw his fists up in celebration and the rest of the band joined in for an unexpectedly skillful cover of "Enter Sandman."

Pausing around the midpoint of the song, Grohl starts asking Rule if he knows any other songs. As the kid breaks into "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)," Grohl jokes about the Ed Sheeran concert happening in the same city that night, saying Sheeran "ain't got nothin' on Collier right now." The singer then drops to the ground in shock and delight in the famous "We're not worthy" Wayne's World manner before offering Rule the guitar he's been playing. The child accepts with a hug, and Grohl gets in one last joke telling the kid he'd better not put the guitar up for sale on eBay next week.
