Watch Foo Fighters Perform Heartfelt Van Halen/John Lennon Mash-Up

Dave Grohl and Co. share rehearsal footage of inventive "Jump"/"Imagine" merger

Foo Fighters have shared footage of themselves rehearsing an electrifying mash-up of John Lennon's "Imagine" and Van Halen's "Jump." The performance — which the band says was inspired by Mighty Mike's merger of the same two songs, 2010's "Imagine a Jump" — made its live debut during the band's March 2nd concert at Pedreira Paulo Leminski in Curtiba, Brazil. The Foos revealed on social media that they're currently "woodshedding" (aka practicing) the two-fer for their upcoming summer North American tour.

This isn't the first time Dave Grohl and Co. have played musical matchmaker. Last year in Japan, they brought out Eighties pop star Rick Astley for a mash-up of "Never Gonna Give You Up" and Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Later on in the year, Grohl linked up with actress Kristen Bell of Frozen fame to perform a spirited mix of "Do You Want to Build A Snowman" and Metallica's "Enter Sandman" on a Halloween-themed Jimmy Kimmel Live episode that featured the frontman as a guest host.

Foo Fighters are set to wrap up the South American leg of their tour behind last year's album Concrete & Gold later this week in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They'll be back on the road by mid-April, hitting up major cities across North American and Europe through October. Find the band's full itinerary below.
