Watch Girl Exact Brutal Revenge on Priest in Graphic New Dead Cross Video

Hellish visual for industrial/horror "Church of the Motherfuckers (Planet B Remix)" features torture, murder, burning churches

Dead Cross — the supergroup comprised of Justin Pearson (Retox, ex-the Locust), Mike Patton (Faith No More, etc.), Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer) and Mike Crain (Retox) — have shared a violent new music video for "Church of the Motherfuckers (Planet B Remix)," taken from the band's recent eponymous EP. For those unfamiliar, Planet B is Pearson's side project with Luke Henshaw of Sonido de la Frontera; their reinterpretation incorporates elements of hip hop, punk, turntablism and vintage horror movie soundtracks.

Directed by Isreal Henshaw and Jay Strickland, the black-and-white clip follows a seemingly innocent young woman who, for reasons unbeknownst to us, is out for murder. As she carries out her nefarious plan — dragging a priest deep into the woods, tormenting him, and eventually, smashing his head in with a brick — sacrilegious imagery lights up the screen: ephemeral shots of burning churches, weeping Mary statues, and even the Ku Klux Klan.

"This is meant to be an extension to the original 'Church of the Motherfuckers' video," explains Pearson. "Perhaps an interpretation, but a realistic view or organized religion in the real world, and in modern times, which is unfortunate. Are we all free in this world? This is Jesus Christ — this is religion."

Dead Cross' new clip arrives in the wake of their video for "Shillelagh (Panicker Remix)" video, released in May. Their self-titled EP is out now.
