Back in June, North Carolina's He Is Legend released their latest album, White Bat, along with the horror-themed music video for the rollicking single "Boogiewoman." The spooky, vintage-styled clip was directed by Myles Erfurth, and the band were so pleased with the results that they re-teamed with him for their new video, for the LP's title track, which makes its premiere right here right now. In contrast to the "Boogiewoman" visual, which is packed with fright-flick theatrics and old-timey effects, the "White Bat" clip is crisp and stripped down: just the band in a room rocking the fuck out. Think He Is Legend's answer to Nine Inch Nails' iconic "March of the Pigs" video.
"This was an intense shoot that went well into the night," frontman Schuylar Croom says. "Myles and I carved out what we could as our budget was tight and we wanted to show a juxtaposition from the 'Boogiewoman' video. 'White Bat' is stark and flows like a flash flood. This is a peek through the key hole at Legend totally unhinged." Take that peek below.
