Watch Industrial Duo Statiqbloom's Terrifying New "Possession" Video

Fans of Nitzer Ebb and Skinny Puppy, don't miss this

Long-running NYC-based industrial project Statiqbloom have never failed to impress, whether live or on record, creating a particularly brutal and terrifying brand of EBM that owes a debt to Nitzer Ebb, Skinny Puppy and others. The duo's latest offering is the Sanford Parker–produced Asphyxia LP, which hit in July via Metropolis Records and features the standout cut "Possession," the music video for which makes it's debut here. Directed by Katrin Albert, the clip features stark, manipulated black-and-white images heavily treated with static and noise, intercut with flashes of color — specifically, pools of blood red — all together evoking the claustrophobic feeling of a call from the void. The dark and disturbing visuals perfectly fit the overall acid-fried and slithering vibe of the track. Watch it above for the first time, and look for Statiqbloom on the road in the coming months, dates forthcoming.
