In honor of the late Caleb Scofield — the beloved Boston hardcore/metal musician who died tragically in a truck accident in March — post-metal trailblazers Isis reunited for a one-off performance in Los Angeles last night (October 13th) under the name Celestial, alongside Cave In and Old Man Gloom, the two bands for which the late bassist was best known. All of the profits from the concert, which will also featured instrumentalists Pelican and indie-rock group 27, will benefit Scofield's wife and two children. You can donate to the Caleb Scofield Memorial Fund here.
This was the second gig of its type — the first Scofield tribute show, held in Boston, also included sets by Cave In and Old Man Gloom, as well as Converge, Young Widows and the Cancer Conspiracy. Watch the four-hour livestream of that June performance below.
